By default, this will be set to \u003ckbd\u003e^\u2325\u2318T\u003c/kbd\u003e. You can change this in Nightfall\u0027s settings.\n\n### Using Animated Transitions\n\nIf \u201cAnimated transition\u201c is enabled in preferences, Nightfall will smooth over the transition between light and dark modes with a short animation. Because of how this feature works (source code [here](Nightfall/ToggleDarkMode.swift)), **you\u2019ll need to grant Nightfall [screen recording permissions](https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/control-access-to-screen-recording-on-mac-mchld6aa7d23/mac)**.\n\n### Hiding Nightfall\n\nIf you\u2019d like to hide Nightfall from your menu bar without quitting the app, you can do so by holding the Command key and dragging the icon out of the menu bar. To reveal Nightfall again, re-open the app while it\u2019s still running.\n\n### Updating Nightfall\n\nIf \u201cCheck for new versions\u201d is enabled in preferences, Nightfall will look for updates a few times per day. When an update is available, you\u2019ll see \u201cUpdate\u2026\u201d in the options menu. Nightfall won\u2019t update itself\u2014 you\u2019ll need to download the new version manually.\n",
